Leslie Quigless, Executive Director

Leslie Quigless is a writing teacher who has taught literature and creative writing courses in New York, Brazil, and Georgia. She received a journalism degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and holds two master-level degrees in education from New York University and Harvard University. She has written features for The Champion Newspaper (Decatur, GA), The Gwinnett Daily Post, and has blogged most recently for Peaches Magazine. She is excited to help connect Atlanta’s vibrant writing community to young writers who are passionate about the craft and is hard at work completing her second novel.

Vicky Kaniaru, Management Intern

meVicky is a graduate of the University of North Georgia with a B.A. in English/Writing and Publication. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management. When she is not studying, she can be found reading her favorite works, writing blogs or poetry, and involved in various church related activities. She was the recipient of the 2010 Writing and Publication Graduate Award in her undergraduate institution, and has published website articles for academic institutions and The Baptist Press, a Southern Baptist news publication. She is very excited to serve as the new intern for Atlanta Young Writers Institute.
